Finance Education That Actually Makes Sense

We teach Australian finance concepts through real-world scenarios and practical examples. No jargon overload, no abstract theory—just straightforward financial knowledge you can use.

How We Structure Learning

Look, most finance education feels like reading a textbook from 1987. We break down complex topics into digestible pieces that relate to actual Australian financial situations—tax planning, investment basics, budgeting for Melbourne's cost of living.

Our autumn 2025 courses start with foundational concepts and build up gradually. Each session focuses on one core idea, then shows you how it applies to real scenarios.

  • Start with basic financial literacy concepts before moving to advanced topics
  • Use case studies from Australian businesses and personal finance situations
  • Practice with spreadsheets and calculators you'll actually use later
  • Weekly check-ins to review progress and answer specific questions
  • Access recorded sessions for review at your own pace

Three Core Principles We Follow

01

Context First

Every concept gets explained with Australian context. Tax brackets, super contributions, property markets—we relate everything to the financial landscape you're navigating.

02

Practical Application

Theory only goes so far. We spend most of our time working through calculations, reviewing actual financial statements, and discussing real decisions people face.

03

Honest Limitations

We're upfront about what you can learn in our timeframe and what requires professional advice. Finance education supports better decisions—it doesn't replace accountants or advisors.

Glen Morrison

Senior Finance Educator

I've taught finance concepts to over 800 students since 2013. Started in corporate training, moved to education because I got tired of seeing people confused by unnecessarily complicated explanations.

My background includes work with small business accounting and personal finance consulting. These days I focus on teaching—breaking down topics like cash flow management, basic investment principles, and tax planning into language that makes sense.

Our next intake for structured courses opens in September 2025. Until then, we're running monthly workshops at our King St location.
